The iconic 'pop artist' - Jann Haworth - has had a major retrospective open at the Wolverhampton Museum.
This beautifully curated collection spans several years of Haworth's avant guard creativity. On display are the trademark 'soft' sculptures and her more recent canvasses. The 3D theme, with its layers and textures, permeates the work, as does the playfulness of the pieces. But make no mistake this is 'high art' — a rare fusion of fine 'craftswomanship' with fine art.
If you have the chance to see this exhibit, I heartily recommend it for its sheer originality and vibrancy.
The show will remain on public view until April 2010.
